We were meant to be forever,

Never to be apart.

For world around us to change,

Now we are just two strangers,

Strangers who know each other well.

All the truth is seasons come and go,

So do people around,

In a crowd of unknowns,

In two minds alike and distant we are,

Strangers who know each other well.

You don’t feel the way I do,

Selfishness got better of you.

Clapped with one hand, you held mine then

Songs,memories,musings and your smell,

Now we are Strangers who know each other well.

A beautiful deception, A broken faith,

It made you happy, nothing could ever wait.

One happy, one hurt, all that’s left of us,

Strangers who know each other well.

Got the roses, thorns you left for me,

Same thorns hurt each day, I still cannot believe.

Once perfect we are now apart,

Strangers who know each other well.

I still believe in love, irrespective of what you showed,

Figment of my imagination, you once bellowed.

Have been hurt often, you can’t ever tear me apart.

Its painful reality I accept and move on because now we are,

Strangers who know each other well.
