Hello, missed me? I sure did, after hectic peak season and see saw shifts I finally found time to write, my dear blog, where else would I go without you? Twitter? Nobody takes it seriously, facebook? People pour out their emotions and others feast on them, whatsapp? its for sharing jokes and rarely fruitful communication, Viber? not many has it. Blog? Oh sure :) Always there, my canvas, my story and thus this is my entry #07
Pinch of salt, by definition listed on phrases.org.uk means to accept it but to maintain a degree of skepticism about its truth. I wish to apply this idiom. to everyday thinking and If we could apply this idiom we could end up being less disappointed.
Everyday we live in our perfect thoughts, we begin the day by assuming it will be perfect and everything we planned for will go accordingly and often we wish for something exciting, which is a positive thing of course then we face conflicts, somewhere or the other we accept compromise and say its okay, this is life! but what about other places or times? For example if you do everything right in typing an application letter, you double check and even get it checked by others and despite of everything your application is rejected, disappointing? Of course, you know you were correct and yet it didn't turn out. take it with a pinch of salt.
Applies to everyday relationships as well, a couple is happy, say madly in love and the guy does everything right for the girl, wishes her in the morning, meets, gets flowers and then she instead of reciprocating just keeps mum. Salt, do I need to remind?
The underlying ideology is everyone reacts to a situation as per their own mood, irrespective of how you feel, its up-to you to decide whether to accommodate the mis happening or modify it. The human brain works on effort-reward principle. We think of the end result before doing anything.
If life becomes perfect there won`t be any space left for it to be complete, two colors make a picture, seven make a rainbow and sixteen million are in this screen which you are reading from. Would you be able to read it if it was just black?
Leave some space for error, give them the benefit of doubt, of course nothing unpleasant happens by choice. and this is where i say, take it with a pinch of salt.
Great to be back, stay alive, stay awesome.
love,
SAiSH
